FAQs

Do I really need to seal my concrete?

The answer is yes! The porosity of unsealed concrete allows for water penetration, which leads to premature cracking, pitting and loss of colour.

Concrete sealing can be equated to maintaining a vehicle, when you purchase one for thousands of dollars, the best way to protect that investment is to change the oil and wash/seal it with wax. Concrete sealing is necessary to ensure look and longevity of your investment.

Sealing prevents damage, enhances the look and protects the colour, keeping your concrete looking like it was just poured yesterday.

How often should I seal my decorative concrete or interlock?

Decorative concrete or interlock should be sealed every 2-3 years for protection against salt, chemicals and the environment, and to restore its original, vibrant finish.

Will sealing make my concrete slippery?

Concrete can be slippery when wet however the addition of a traction enhancing product called Shark-Grip may be included at your request

Okay sealing is a great idea but, how much does it cost?

The cost of sealing is variable and depends on the size of the area to be sealed, amount of preparation work needed for your specific surface [e.g. removal of overgrowth, oil and rust stains and amount of sealer required (surfaces like interlock absorb more and rough troweled concrete often needs heavier/multiple coats).
